Central Denmark Region's Chairman Anders Kühnau has joined the Euroheat & Power video campaign "We are all connected - decarbonising district energy for our cities" to highlight green initiatives in the district heating.

Green transition in the district heating's energy supply and distribution is the goal of the EU project REFER which Central Denmark Region is heading.

This is relevant to the European organisation Euroheat & Power which has launched the campaign to spread knowledge about district heating and green transition in Europe.

Danmark is one the countries with the most finely meshed district heating system and therefor is able på make a green transition with a greater effect. 

The REFER project (Renewable Energy for Emission Reduction) includes 25 local district heating plants. They are given expert consultation regarding the change from natural gas to more CO2 neutra energy sources and also to optimized the distribution systems.
