With a focus on high quality, interdisciplinary efforts and innovation, we work to support citizens in living out their hopes and dreams through specialised support, knowledge sharing and new solutions.

Our strategic focus areas

  1. One cohesive social services department
    • Better collaboration across municipalities, regions and institutions to create more cohesive and effective initiatives.
    • Focus on transparency and knowledge sharing to develop the most effective methods and practices.
  2. The whole person
    • Holistic initiatives that consider the complex needs of citizens.
    • Greater involvement of relatives, civil society and volunteers to ensure better inclusion and support.
  3. Strong expertise in specialised areas
    • Investing in expertise, research and skills development to maintain a high level of specialisation.
    • Developing innovative solutions, including welfare technology, that can amplify efforts and free up resources.

Our key priorities

  • Citizens in focus: Interventions are matched to individual needs, so citizens can set their own goals and be active in co-determining their treatment.
  • Strategic partnerships: Collaborate with researchers, institutions and EU networks to develop new solutions and share knowledge.
  • Sustainability and inclusion: Focus on green initiatives, employee retention and ensuring equal access to support.
  • International collaboration: Openness towards knowledge sharing, research projects, welfare technology and EU-funded initiatives.

Through flexibility and innovation, we ensure the social services department is dynamic and adaptable and continues to provide high quality specialised support, despite new challenges.

Shadows documentary

We’re excited to announce that Holmstrupgaard, featured in an award-winning documentary at the San Francisco International Film Awards, will be part of our study visits at ESSC2025 in Aarhus this June! Led by renowned journalist Anders Agger, the documentary provides a powerful look into the lives of young people facing severe psychiatric conditions such as eating disorders, schizophrenia, and PTSD. Holmstrupgaard is a supportive housing facility that helps vulnerable youth aged 12-23, providing a therapeutic, structured environment for healing.
